Bridge Refurbishment - Telegraph Point

Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) is undertaking bridge refurbishment works on Old Butter Factory Rd, Telegraph Point as part of the NSW Government’s rail infrastructure program across the country rail network.

Works are being completed by TfNSW’s contractor, John Holland Rail (JHR). JHR operate and maintain the Country Regional Network across NSW under a ten year contract with TfNSW.

Why is the work being completed?

These works are being undertaken to extend the life span of the bridge and to ensure continued safe passage of trains and protection for the community.

Works involve:

  • Repairing overbridge headstock

When will work commence?

Works are currently scheduled to be completed from Friday 12 to Tuesday 16 July 2019, subject to final approvals and weather conditions.

Site operations will run from 6:30am to 5:00pm each day including weekend.

How will I be affected?

A full road closure will be in place on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July. Partial road closures will be in place on Friday 12, Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 July.

Traffic control will be in place when crews are on site to escort pedestrians over the bridge as required by residents. There may be short delays during this time.
