Level Crossing Upgrade - Woolbrook

Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) is upgrading the level crossing on Danglemah Road, Woolbrook as part of the NSW Government’s rail infrastructure program across the country rail network.

Works are being completed by TfNSW’s contractor, John Holland Rail (JHR). JHR operate and maintain the Country Regional Network across NSW under a ten-year contract with TfNSW.

Why is the work being completed?

These works are being undertaken to remove and replace deteriorated elements of the existing level crossing and ensure continued safe access for the community.\

When will work commence?

Works are currently scheduled to be completed from Monday 23 September to Friday 27 September 2019, subject to final approvals and weather conditions

Site operations will run from:

  • Friday 20 – Sunday 22 September: 6:00am to 6:00pm
  • Monday 23 – Wednesday 25 September: 48-hours from Monday 7:00am to Wednesday 6:00pm
  • Thursday 26 - Friday 27 September: 6:00am – 6:00pm

How will I be affected?

The level crossing will be closed during the works, however there will be a temporary crossing in place for cars only. All other vehicles are not permitted to access this crossing and will need to use the Oxley Hwy and the New England Hwy as an alternative route.

We’ll be posting VMS boards on the approach to the works, outlining changes to traffic. There will also be traffic control in place when crews are on site. There may be short delays during this time.

We endeavour to minimise disruptions to local traffic and business as best as feasibly possible.
