Rail Line Upgrade, Rydal

Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) is undertaking signal commissioning works in Rydal, adjacent to Stack Rd, as part of the NSW Government’s rail infrastructure program across the country rail network.

Works are being completed by TfNSW’s contractor, John Holland Rail (JHR). JHR operate and maintain the Country Regional Network across NSW under a ten year contract with TfNSW.

 

Works involve:

We will be undertaking signal and track circuit testing and commissioning activities to upgrade the rail line at Rydal to provide a passing loop for freight and passenger services.

 

Why is the work being completed? 

These works are being completed to verify the integrity of the track signalling system and will help improve reliability on the network.

 

When will work commence? 

The above works are scheduled to commence 16 February 2019 and will be completed 18 February 2019, subject to final approvals and weather conditions. 

Site operations are expected to run from 7:00am Saturday to 4:00am Monday.

 

How will I be affected? 

There will be minimal noise and extra vehicle movements during the day and night to facilitate works. We appreciate your patience as these works are completed.
