Level Crossing Works, Tamworth

Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) is improving the level crossing on Denison St, Tamworth as part of the NSW Government’s rail infrastructure program across the Country Regional Network.

Works are being completed by TfNSW’s contractor, John Holland Rail (JHR). JHR operate and maintain the Country Regional Network across NSW under a ten year contract with TfNSW.

What do the works involve?

We will be installing a new concrete surface and replacing pedestrian approach mazes on the Denison Street crossing, to improve the surface for road, pedestrian and rail traffic.

When will work commence?

Crews will be on site from 9-17 April 2018.

24 hour working will be in place from 6:00pm on Monday 9 April, until 6:00am on Friday 13 April. Outside of these times, our crews will be working onsite from 6:30am to 4:30pm.

We will notify nearby residents if works are to occur outside of these hours.

How will I be affected?

We will endeavour to minimise the impact to the community wherever possible, during the works.

The crossing will be closed from 9-13 April 2018. Road users will be diverted to Ebsworth Street, during this time.

You may also hear construction noise during site operations and see some extra vehicle and heavy machinery movements in the area.

Thank you for your patience as we complete this essential work on the Country Regional Network. Contact our Community Relations team on 1300 661 390 or email crn.enquiry@jhg.com.au for further enquiries.
