ROI - Former Cowra Freight Centre

John Holland Rail Pty Ltd manages Transport for NSW’s assets on the NSW Country Regional Network.  On behalf of Transport for NSW, John Holland Rail requests non-binding Request of Information (“ROI”) responses from interested parties for the potential occupation and/or future adaptive reuse of the former Cowra Freight Centre, NSW.


Transport for NSW have identified the former Cowra Freight Centre as having the potential to be very important to Cowra's regional economy. Cowra is centrally located to markets in Canberra and Sydney, it is mid-way between Brisbane and Melbourne with ready access to the Hume Highway via Boorowa and Gundagai to access Albury Wodonga.

The Cowra Freight Centre is located at 1 Lynch Street and provides access into Cowra, a town filled with railway heritage. The Premises have excellent street frontage and the opportunity to have good business exposure.  The surrounding land is abundant. The Premises provides ample off street parking, and excellent access and egress to the site.



Transport for NSW envisages that Responses will include details sufficient to assess as a minimum, the suitability and ability of Applicants to obtain and perform any necessary approvals or works to make the site suitable for its intended use.
