Level Crossing Upgrade - Currabubula

Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) is undertaking trenching and cable laying in preparation for upgrades to the Railway Street Level Crossing at Currabubula as part of the NSW Government’s rail infrastructure program across the Country Regional Network.

Works are being completed by TfNSW’s contractor, John Holland Rail (JHR). JHR operate and maintain the Country Regional Network across NSW under a ten-year contract with TfNSW.


Why is the work being completed?

Works are being planned in preparation for the upgrade of the Railway Street level crossing, Currabubula.

Works involve:

Trenching and cable laying at the Railway street level crossing, Currabubula in preparation for the level crossing upgrade.

When will work commence?

Following works which commenced in November 2019, additional works will take place on Saturday 21 to Sunday 22 March 2020, subject to final approvals and weather conditions.

Site operations will run as follows:

  • Saturday 21 March: 6.00am to 6.00pm
  • Sunday 22 March: 6.00am to 6.00pm

How will I be affected?

During the works you may observe additional heavy vehicle movements and there is also potential for noise and dust from the work.

We will endeavour to minimise disruptions to local traffic and business as best as feasibly possible.
