Why is the work being completed?
These works are being undertaken to replace the life expired timber bridge and to ensure continued safe access for the community.
When will work commence?
Works are currently scheduled to be completed from Monday 2 March to Sunday 2 August 2020, subject to final approvals and weather conditions.
Site operations will run from 7.00am to 6.00pm from Monday to Friday and from 8.00am to 1.00pm on weekends.
How will I be affected?
To reduce the impact on the community, the existing bridge will remain open during the construction of the new bridge.
Traffic control will be in place when crews are on site, with traffic reduced to one lane from May until the new bridge is completed and open to traffic.
While the existing bridge is reduced to one lane, traffic will be controlled by traffic lights and as a result there may be short delays during this time.
Signage and/or VMS boards will be posted on the approach to the works, outlining changes to traffic.
Additional 24-hour work are anticipated to take place in in early June and late July 2020. We will provide further information to affected residents as these dates approach.
We will endeavour to minimise the impact to the community wherever possible, during the works period.
