Signalling System Upgrade - Temora

Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) is upgrading the signalling system at the Polaris Street level crossing at Temora as part of the NSW Government’s rail infrastructure program across the country regional network.

Works are being completed by TfNSW’s contractor, John Holland Rail (JHR). JHR operate and maintain the Country Regional Network across NSW under a ten-year contract with TfNSW.


Why is the work being completed?

Works are being completed to upgrade existing signalling arrangements at the Temora Yard.

Works involve:

Trenching and cable laying at the Polaris Street Level crossing.

When will work commence?

Works are currently scheduled to be completed from Monday 16 March till mid-April 2020, subject to final approvals and weather conditions.

Site operations will run from 6.00am to 6.00pm each day, including weekends.

How will I be affected?

During the works you may observe additional heavy vehicle movements and there is also potential for noise and dust from the work.

Additional works on the crossing will take place in May 2020 and June 2020. We will provide further information to affected residents as these dates approach.

We will endeavour to minimise disruptions to local traffic and business as best as feasibly possible.
