Track Maintenance - Bathurst

Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) is undergoing track maintenance work at Bathurst as part of the NSW Government’s rail infrastructure program across the country rail network.

Works are being completed by TfNSW’s contractor, John Holland. John Holland operate and maintain the Country Regional Network across NSW under a ten-year contract with TfNSW.

Why is the work being completed?

The railway lines require maintenance to ensure continued safe passage of trains along the railway line and safe access for the community.

When will work commence?

Works are currently scheduled to take place from Tuesday 25 February to Tuesday 3 March 2020, subject to final approvals and weather conditions.

Site operations will run as follows:

  • 25 – 27 Feb: 7.00am to 6.00pm
  • 28 Feb – 2 Mar: 24-hours work from 7.00am Friday 28 Feb to 6.00pm Monday 2 Mar.
  • 3 Mar: 7.00am to 7.00pm

How will I be affected?

All maintenance activity will remain within the rail corridor. There is potential for noise from the work, and there may be some extra vehicle and heavy machinery movements in the area.

We will endeavour to minimise the impact to the community wherever possible, during the works period.
